The New York Jets aren't the most talented team in the NFL. That much should be clear after a 3-14 2025 campaign.

But that doesn't mean there aren't good players on the roster, and New York went out and got some great players in the offseason to add to their in-house pool of talent.

If we were to rank the five best players currently on the Jets roster, who would stand in front of the rest?

Top 5 players currently on the Jets roster

5. RT Armand Membou

The first draft pick of the Aaron Glenn-Darren Mougey era was a home run for the Jets, as rookie offensive tackle Armand Membou was one of the team's best players in an otherwise forgettable season.

Some of Membou's numbers aren't the greatest. He gave up eight sacks and 33 pressures throughout his rookie year, but a lot of that can be chalked up to poor quarterback play.

But anyone who watched the Missouri product's tape last season knows the Jets have their right tackle set for hopefully the next decade.

4. S Minkah Fitzpatrick

One of the Jets' newest additions this offseason came at a position they haven't had a premier talent at in a long time, and that's safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Hours before the start of the legal tampering period, Mougey swung a trade with the Miami Dolphins for the former first-round draft pick, inking him to a relatively team-friendly three-year deal.

Last season with the Dolphins, Fitzpatrick graded out as the seventh-best safety in the NFL according to Pro Football Focus. Hopefully, his innate nose for the football will help the Jets snap their interceptionless streak.

3. LB Demario Davis

Another major defensive addition for the Jets was former draft pick Demario Davis, who is set to play for the Green & White for a third separate time in his career.

At 37, Davis may be long in the tooth, but he's still playing at a high level. PFF graded him as the seventh-best linebacker in football last season, and is incredibly effective at stopping the run, an area the Jets struggled in last year.

Arguably, Davis' biggest contribution to the Jets is his veteran leadership. He'll be a pillar of stability both on and off the field for this young roster.

2. RB Breece Hall

Entering the 2026 offseason, there were questions if Breece Hall had played his last snap for the Jets after playing out the final year of his rookie deal.

Instead, the Jets franchise tagged their former second-round pick and locked him down on a long-awaited three-year extension to keep the star running back in New York.

After his first career 1,000-yard rushing season, Hall seems primed to kick it up another notch in 2026 in a new offense that will hopefully utilize his talents better than he's seen in years past. When he's healthy, the former Iowa State standout is one of the best two-way threats in the league with explosive home-run hitting ability.

1. WR Garrett Wilson

Was it ever in doubt?

Garrett Wilson is the Jets' best player, period -- end of discussion. Before this season, he never failed to eclipse 1,000 yards receiving through the first three years of his career in spite of some absolutely horrendous quarterback play.

The former first-round pick was likely to do it again this year, before a knee injury forced him out for the remainder of the 2025 season. Despite not catching a pass after Week 6, Wilson still managed to lead the Jets in receiving yards with 395.

Heading into 2026, Wilson will be getting the most steady quarterback play of his career outside of one season with Aaron Rodgers, and hopefully, he'll be able to show the rest of the NFL something Jets fans already know. He's easily one of the league's best wide receivers.
