The New York Jets didn't have many bright spots throughout the 2025 NFL season, but rookie right tackle Armand Membou certainly was one.
New York selected the Missouri offensive lineman with the No. 7 overall pick, adding a staple to the right side of their offensive line for years to come. He provided steady play for an otherwise underwhelming offense.
It seems like the Jets got incredible value selecting Membou with the seventh pick in the draft. You could make the case that he was the best rookie out of the entire class, along with New Orleans Saints rookie Kelvin Banks Jr.
If the 2025 NFL Draft happened again right now, where would Membou end up getting selected?
2025 NFL Draft redraft has Armand Membou going No. 2 overall
In a redo of last year's draft, The Athletic's Nick Baumgardner has the Cleveland Browns selecting Membou with the No. 2 overall pick, nullifying their trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
"I can’t argue with the Browns’ decision to trade back last year — if the trade presented itself again, they’d repeat it. But Cleveland could have landed a very promising tackle prospect in Membou, who, as a rookie, showed up in the run game and flashed a nice ceiling in protection."Nick Baumgardner
The Browns don't have any good, young offensive linemen on their roster. Adding Membou gives them a foundational piece to lean on while they build out the rest of it.
Membou was great for the Jets last season, even garnering some calls for Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.
He didn't grade out all that well according to Pro Football Focus, finishing as the 31st-ranked tackle among qualified players. But that's likely due to his inflated sack and pressure totals.
Membou was pass protecting for Justin Fields a good majority of the 2025 season, a quarterback who, at times, seemed scared to throw the football and would take one too many sacks.
The rookie allowed 33 pressures and gave up eight total sacks, but again, those numbers feel skewed thanks to the less-than-ideal quarterback play.
Regardless, Jets fans can sleep well knowing their now second-year offensive tackle is highly thought of among analysts, and he'll hopefully be holding down the right side of the offensive line for years to come.
