As the NY Jets prepare for a meaningless — outside of draft position — Week 15 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, fantasy managers around the world are preparing for the start of their playoff season. One Jets player many are keeping a close eye on is Breece Hall.

Hall has been battling a knee injury since the Jets' Week 11 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The former Iowa State star was able to fight through the pain and play in that game and even suited up in Week 13 after the Jets returned from their bye week.

Unfortunately, Hall's injury flared up again and he was forced to sit out this past Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. Hall's status for today's game against the Jaguars has been in question all week, and there was a time not too long ago when he seemed highly unlikely to play.

Hall did not practice on either Wednesday or Thursday, leading most to believe that he was set to miss his second consecutive game. But the Jets received a surprising dose of good news when he returned as a full participant in Friday's practice.

Is Breece Hall playing today?

Yes, Hall is expected to be active when the Jets take on the Jaguars in Week 15. Hall is listed as questionable with a knee injury, but after returning to practice on Friday, all signs point to him being able to play this week.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Saturday night that Hall "is expected to play" on Sunday. That report was confirmed by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who also insisted that Hall will play against the Jaguars.

That's good news for a Jets team that relied on rookies Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis in Week 14. Allen and Davis performed well in Hall's absence, but the Jets' offense revolves around their star running back when he's healthy.

It's even better news for fantasy managers, who will see Hall return to their lineups just in time for the playoffs. That said, it's possible the Jets will have Hall on a snap count, so caution would be wise. Don't expect a full workload for the former second-round pick in today's game.

The Jets will still find snaps for both Allen and Davis, but Hall is expected to be back and serve as the team's top running back this week. The Jets' season may be effectively over, but Hall is still hoping to finish his third NFL year strong.

And if he happens to help a few fantasy teams in the process, that wouldn’t hurt either.
