New York Jets running back Breece Hall signed a three-year extension with the team in the 2026 offseason, but he may find himself in a new city as the NFL trade deadline approaches. Another Hall injury thrust Braelon Allen into a starting role, and he has responded with three 100-yard games out of four.

Hall, who deleted one of his social media accounts after Allen ran for 147 yards and a touchdown in the Jets' 38-33 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, could be moved as teams around the league try to get some extra offensive pop. Outside of Jonathan Taylor, Hall is the best running back on the market.

These five teams could be in the market for Hall's services, as they have a need at running back and could be willing to part with a pick in the name of getting this deal done. Considering how the Jets were unable to land a third-round pick for Hall last trade deadline, a fourth-round pick may seem like adequate value.

Top 5 Breece Hall trade destinations as Jets slide to 2-6 in 2026

5. New York Giants

How about a remix of the old Leonard Williams trade where Hall doesn't even need to get a new apartment? If the Giants are to make the playoffs, they will need to lean on a lackluster running back room that features Cam Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy, and a few others fighting for snaps.

Hall immediately gives them clarity and more consistency for a team that is not shying away from wanting to control the clock on the ground offensively.

4. Houston Texans

David Montgomery has not only gotten hurt, but he cooled off significantly after a hot start in Houston. The Texans likely know that Woody Marks is not the long-term answer in the backfield, and they could make a run in an open division with some better play on the ground.

Hall would immediately supplant Montgomery as the RB1 on a Texans team that needs to start winning to save DeMeco Ryans' job.

3. Cincinnati Bengals

While Hall and Chase Brown share many stylistic similarities, Cincinnati may be interested in a player like Breece due to the fact they haven't seen the development they may have expected. Hall going from offenses primarily orchestrated by Zach Wilson to a Joe Burrow-led assault should do wonders for his efficiency.

If the Bengals can't break through in a wide-open AFC, are they ever going to while they have Burrow? Go all-in, Mike Brown!

2. Denver Broncos

The Broncos are pushing forward with an unsustainably conservative passing game, though their lack of a running game has not been kind to Bo Nix. RJ Harvey, JK Dobbins, and Jonah Coleman combined may not have the big-play potential that Hall does.

Darren Mougey might be able to leverage his old Denver connections and get a somewhat valuable pick out of his old destination.

1. Green Bay Packers

The Packers are the worst rushing team in the league, and with some very disturbing allegations hanging over Josh Jacobs' head, there's a good chance that they need to make a move for a more permanent solution as soon as they can.

The Packers may not have as many tradable picks as most contenders due to the Micah Parsons swamp, but they could get desperate, and that need for a standout back could be what moves the needle.
