In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano discuss the New York Jets' representation on the NFL Top 100 list, potential surprise 53-man roster cuts, and the debut of The Jet Press Roulette minigame.
The show started with a discussion about the NFL's 2025 edition of their Top 100 list, specifically the ranking of defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, who came in at No. 87. That's a 50-spot drop from where he ranked a year ago.
Is Williams' ranking fair? Where should he be ranked? Justin and Mike also broke down where other Jets players like Sauce Gardner, Quincy Williams, and Garrett Wilson will rank on this year's list. Unfortunately, you have to account for that Jets tax.
The next segment was devoted to analyzing the Jets' roster and determining which players could be surprise cuts come September. The first player discussed was wide receiver Malachi Corley.
Corley enters training camp firmly on the roster bubble following a disastrous rookie campaign. He will have an opportunity to carve out a role in a thin receiving corps this summer, but he's already off to a poor start with this new regime. We may have already seen the last of him in New York.
Justin and Mike then took a look at the Jets' defensive line, focusing on players such as Micheal Clemons, Byron Cowart, and even Derrick Nnadi, all of whom could be surprise cuts as well. The Jets' defensive line depth could be an issue this season.
Finally, we debuted the official The Jet Press Roulette segment, complete with visual graphics and everything. This week's edition of TJP Roulette featured blind rankings, some classic Guess the Jet, and finally a Keep 4/Cut 4 segment. This week's episode was full of shenanigans, to say the least.
