In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano are joined by Will Parkinson to discuss the Irv Charles trade, New York Jets OTAs, the Brendan Sorsby situation, and much more. We also had some fun with another Jets Immaculate Grid!

The show started with a discussion about the Jets’ blockbuster trade on Wednesday that sent backup wide receiver and special teamer Irv Charles to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a conditional 2028 seventh-round pick.

Justin and Mike broke down the league-altering move, discussed the implications of parting ways with a core special teamer, and reminisced about some of the more obscure and random trades in recent Jets history.

The conversation then shifted to Jets OTAs, which officially kicked off this week. Justin and Mike previewed what fans should actually be watching over the next few weeks, agreeing that staying healthy remains the biggest priority above all else.

Beyond that, the focus turned to the rookie class and how players like quarterback Cade Klubnik look competing against actual NFL veterans instead of rookie minicamp tryout players.

The guys also discussed how the Jets could use the spring to evaluate their quarterback room before deciding whether to pursue another veteran option such as Russell Wilson, Cooper Rush, or Josh Dobbs.

Later in the show, Justin and Mike were joined by Will Parkinson of Badlands and the Turn On The Jets podcast to continue the OTA discussion.

Will shared what he personally looks for during spring practices, discussed realistic expectations for the Jets this season, and broke down what the ceiling for both the offense and defense could look like in 2026.

The group also discussed the Brendan Sorsby situation and whether the Jets could potentially target him if he enters the supplemental draft. Should the Jets place a bid on the Texas Tech quarterback?

Finally, Justin, Mike, and Will wrapped things up with another edition of Jets Immaculate Grid, featuring some very fun deep-cut pulls and more than enough Wednesday chaos along the way.
