The NY Jets have been connected to rumors surrounding former All-Pro wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. for over a year now at this point, and Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner reignited those rumors with a social media post on Thursday.

Gardner posted a photo of himself hanging out with not only Beckham but also rapper Drake to social media this week. The caption read, "The Other Big 3," a reference to the famous hip hop "big three" of Drake, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar.

This has reignited rumors that the Jets, who have shown plenty of interest in Beckham in the past, could revisit talks with the 10-year NFL veteran this offseason.

The Jets brought in former Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams to revamp their wide receiver room in free agency, but there's still some work to be done. Perhaps Beckham could join his friend Gardner in New York in the near future.

Will the NY Jets sign Odell Beckham Jr.?

The Jets showed serious interest in signing Beckham last offseason, partially at the request of Aaron Rodgers. Beckham has since stated that he was very close to signing with the Jets, even going as far as to pick out his number with the team before the Baltimore Ravens swooped in with a better offer.

Now a free agent again, Beckham is coming off a moderately productive year with the Ravens in which he finished with 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns. More importantly, the oft-injured Beckham missed only three games due to injury.

That's a step in the right direction for a player who missed the entire 2022 season after tearing his ACL for the second time in Super Bowl LVI. He's far from the player he used to be, but Beckham can still be effective in a part-time role.

The Jets are still searching for wide receiver help even after signing the aforementioned Williams. Allen Lazard is currently penciled in as the team's WR3 with 2023 undrafted rookies Xavier Gipson and Jason Brownlee behind him.

That help could come via the 2024 NFL Draft, quite possibly in the first round where the Jets hold the No. 10 overall pick. But if the Jets still feel the need to add some extra wide receiver depth, perhaps they revisit the Beckham situation after the draft.

Beckham clearly has some friends in the Jets' locker room and the interest has been there in the past. I wouldn't count on a New York reunion for the former Giants star, but it remains an outside possibility.
