NY Jets 'won't be outbid' in their pursuit of a Tyreek Hill trade
By Justin Fried
The NY Jets are reportedly one of two finalists vying for Kansas City Chiefs superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill in a trade. That trade is expected to happen imminently with a deal likely to be announced today.
The Jets are all-in on Hill and are believed to have an offer on the table for Hill, most projections have the offer being the 10th overall pick and the 35th overall pick. That's a deal that would still leave the Jets with one of the top picks in both the first and second round.
And by all accounts, they're willing to even higher if need be. As Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports, the "Jets won't be outbid" in their pursuit of Hill.
The Jets are doing everything they can to bring Hill to Florham Park. Unfortunately, that doesn't guarantee they will be able to land him.

The Jets are evidently serious in their attempt to surround Zach Wilson with as much talent as possible, and it shouldn't come as a surprise that they're this involved in the Tyreek Hill market.
The Jets were reportedly seriously interested in trading for Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley prior to his suspension. They're looking for a true star wide receiver who can not only provide a major boost to the offense, but who can also grow with Wilson.
Hill, a six-time Pro Bowler who only turned 28 earlier this month, absolutely fits the criteria.
The Jets have more to offer than their division rivals. With four top-40 picks including two inside the top-10, the Dolphins will find it difficult to match the Jets' offer given that they don't pick until 29th overall.
However, there's more at play here. Hill is looking for a new deal and he might be more willing to join a team in a state with no income tax. Don't overlook that aspect — it plays a significant role in some players' decisions.
On top of that, the Dolphins likely have the better roster at this point in time. Do they have the better quarterback? Or, perhaps the better question is, do they have a quarterback better fit to maximize Hill's talents?
That much is up to his discretion.
Either way, if the Jets don't land Hill, it won't be due to a lack of trying. They're going to offer the most money and the best trade package.
It all comes down to where Tyreek Hill wants to play.
