The NY Jets are set to be without starting right tackle Morgan Moses for at least a few weeks as the 11-year veteran suffered an MCL sprain and bone bruise in the team's Week 3 win over the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football.

Moses exited Thursday's game in the second half after he had his leg rolled up on an Aaron Rodgers sack. The initial injury looked brutal on the field as Moses rolled around in pain, but all signs point to the veteran only missing a few games.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Saturday that Moses is expected to be sidelined for 2-4 weeks with his injury. There's a very good chance that Moses avoids the injured reserve altogether.

This is a best-case scenario for the Jets, given how serious the injury appeared at first glance. Rookie first-round pick Olu Fashanu will step in and start at right tackle until Moses returns.

Jermaine Johnson has surgery

The Jets' defense was dealt a serious blow when it was revealed that standout edge rusher Jermaine Johnson had suffered a torn Achilles in the team's Week 2 win over the Tennessee Titans.

Johnson is expected to miss the remainder of the season with his Achilles injury, although he's since hinted at a possible postseason return. He might just be messing with fans, but after what Aaron Rodgers nearly pulled off last season, there's no way of knowing for sure.

What we do know, however, is that Johnson's surgery was a complete success. The third-year pro took to social media late Friday night to update fans, indicating that his surgery was successful. The road to recovery starts now for one of the Jets' most promising young pieces.

The Jets' defense stepped up in its first game without him in Week 3, tallying a season-high seven sacks. Here's to hoping Will McDonald and company can continue to pick up the slack in Johnson's absence.

Jets make NFL history in Week 3

The Jets dominated and embarrassed their bitter rivals, the Patriots, in the team's 24-3 win on primetime in Week 3. They also made a little history in the process.

The Jets became the first team in the Super Bowl era to finish a game with 400+ yards of offense, over 40 minutes of possession, zero turnovers, zero touchdowns allowed, and seven or more sacks, per OptaStats.

That's about as thorough of a beatdown as you're going to find in the NFL. The final stat line may only read like a 21-point victory, but the reality was a historical thrashing that's quite literally never been matched in NFL history.

The Jets will look to build upon that success when they play host to the Denver Broncos in Week 4. For now, they have over a week to savor this historical victory.
