2. Duron Harmon, S

Similarly to Johnson, Duron Harmon is another safety option for the Jets. After having a lot of success during his time in New England, Harmon had a resurgence this past season with the Raiders. In over 1,000 snaps and over 600 coverage snaps, Hamron earned a 77.6 PFF coverage grade, his best since 2017.

Harmon has had at least two interceptions in eight of his ten NFL seasons. At 32 years old, Harmon could be a good leader for the secondary, which is still a very young unit.

3. Kwon Alexander, LB

The fan favorite on this list will be Kwon Alexander. The Jets brought in Alexander shortly before training camp last season, and there is a debate to be made that he was their second-best linebacker behind C.J. Mosley.

Alexander took a visit with the Steelers this past week, but to this point, he is still available. Similarly to the safety position, the Jets have their starters in C.J. Mosley and Quincy Williams, but after that, they have a group of players that could be hard to rely on: Jamien Sherwood, Hamsah Nasirildeen, Chazz Surratt, and 2023 sixth-round pick Zaire Barnes.

Again, for a team in the win-now position the Jets are in, it's hard to see them relying heavily on these players if one of the starters goes down.

Bringing back Alexander probably won’t cost all that much and would be a smart move for the Jets to make over the summer.
