The NY Jets are expected to be one of the top contenders to trade for Davante Adams now that he's officially requested out of Las Vegas. The Aaron Rodgers connection has long made the Jets an obvious landing spot, and with the Raiders willing to play ball, this deal has a good chance of actually getting done.

The Raiders have reportedly set an initial asking price of a second-round pick plus additional compensation, but it seems unlikely that any team will be willing to meet that price at this time.

The Jets have the draft capital and financial flexibility to make a deal work. The team could also get creative and look to include a player in the deal to go along with whatever draft compensation they send to Las Vegas.

From sudden castoffs to solid starters to overlooked young players, let's take a look at four players the Jets could hypothetically include in a Davante Adams trade.

1. Haason Reddick, DE, NY Jets

The Jets have a player who has wants out and has requested a trade. The Raiders have a player who wants out and has requested a trade. Why not fix two problems with one exchange of irritated stars?

The idea of a Reddick-for-Adams swap has been discussed at length over the last few days, and it's not as crazy as it might seem. Reddick has seemingly made it clear that he has no intentions of playing a game for the Jets.

There have even been rumblings that he'd be willing to forgo his initial contract demands just to help facilitate a move out of Florham Park. The Raiders also have a need for pass-rush help with Malcolm Koonce out for the season. A Reddick-Maxx Crosby pairing could be deadly for the Raiders' defense.

Reddick may have just turned 30 years old, but the former All-Pro pass rusher likely still has a few years of high-level playing in him. The Raiders have also publicly insisted that they're still trying to compete in the short term — they aren't just looking to sell players for the sake of it.

The Jets would likely need to send Reddick plus a draft pick to make this work, but this idea isn't some pipedream. It's a legitimate possibility and one the Jets should absolutely explore if the Raiders are interested.

2. Israel Abanikanda, RB, NY Jets

There might be no greater position of need on the Raiders roster right now, aside from quarterback, than running back. Zamire White has been a disappointment through four weeks and Alexander Mattison is little more than a fringe starter.

Why not see if Vegas is interested in adding a young back who showed plenty of promise this summer? Israel Abanikanda finished as Pro Football Focus's No. 1 ranked running back in the preseason, saving his roster spot after a tumultuous offseason.

At just 21 years old, Abanikanda could be worthy of a flier for a Raiders team that is desperate for running back help. After all, the former Pittsburgh standout is wasting away on the Jets bench as a healthy scratch every week.

The Raiders need a running back and the Jets have an abundance of running backs. This one makes a ton of sense.

3. Morgan Moses, OT, NY Jets

The Jets wouldn't prefer to part ways with a rock-solid starting offensive lineman, but if it helps facilitate a Davante Adams trade, there's a chance they would do it.

Morgan Moses is currently sidelined with an MCL sprain, but he's expected to return within a couple of games. Rookie Olu Fashanu started at right tackle in place of Moses on Sunday and had his fair share of expected growing pains.

The Jets drafted Fashanu to be their long-term starting left tackle of the future, but if they believe he's ready to start right now, they could be willing to move Moses as part of the right package.

The Raiders could certainly use some offensive line help. Moses would immediately step in as the team's new starting right tackle, bolstering an offensive line that has been an issue all season.

Moses would be an unexpected inclusion in an Adams trade and it would definitely diminish the Jets' all-important offensive line depth, but it's worth at least mentioning as a possibility.

4. Malachi Corley, WR, NY Jets

The Jets' wide receiver room would suddenly be very crowded if the team traded for Adams. It would be difficult to find playing time for the likes of Adams, Garrett Wilson, Mike Williams, and Allen Lazard, let alone someone who already isn't receiving playing time.

Malachi Corley has been on the field for just two offensive snaps in the Jets' first four games of the season. He's played one total special-teams snap. For all intents and purposes, Corley does not have a role on the current Jets roster.

It would make sense for the Raiders to inquire about Corley's availability in the event of an Adams trade, especially since the Jets aren't currently using him.

The Jets were publicly very high on Corley in the pre-draft process, with reports even suggesting he was the team's fourth-ranked wide receiver in the 2024 draft class. It would be a surprise to see the team move on from him so soon, even if he's falling short of expectations.

It all depends on how aggressive Joe Douglas is willing to be with his job on the line. If Corley is the sticking point to finalizing an Adams trade, it wouldn't be shocking to see him included.
