The NY Jets remain a hot topic on the trade market even after acquiring Davante Adams on Tuesday. One player whose name continues to come up in trade rumors is star pass rusher Haason Reddick.

Reddick officially switched agencies this week, and for the first time in months, we appear to be inching toward an actual resolution. While it's still possible Reddick will remain with the Jets, the team has given him permission to seek a trade.

There could be one issue, however. NFL insider Josina Anderson reported on Tuesday that if Reddick were to be traded to an NFC team, the conditional draft pick the Jets sent to the Philadelphia Eagles in the initial trade would become a second-round pick.

This makes it extremely unlikely the Jets would choose to send Reddick to an NFC team, limiting his trade market even more. The Jets would much prefer that 2026 pick to be in the third round instead.

If Reddick is indeed traded at any point, expect it to be to an AFC team unless the Jets receive a relative haul in return.

Chuck Clark injury update

Jets safety Chuck Clark exited Monday night's game against the Buffalo Bills in the first quarter with an ankle injury and was not able to return. On Tuesday, the Jets officially placed Clark on the injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain.

The injury will sideline Clark for a minimum of four games, as he will be eligible to return no sooner than the Jets' Week 11 game against the Indianapolis Colts. That's one week before the team's bye the following week.

Clark's injury is a significant blow to a Jets defense that struggled at the safety position following his absence. Ashtyn Davis had his share of issues in place of Clark, and fellow safety Isaiah Oliver has been starting at nickel cornerback with Michael Carter II out.

Clark joins Carter and D.J. Reed (groin) as injured starters in the Jets' secondary. Don't be surprised if the Jets promote Jalen Mills from the practice squad to help fill in while Carter is sidelined. The Jets' defensive back depth is being tested.

Steelers making a QB change

The Pittsburgh Steelers may be making a significant change ahead of their Week 7 matchup with the Jets on Sunday Night Football next week. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters on Tuesday that Russell Wilson will receive first-team reps this week and is "in consideration" to start on Sunday.

Justin Fields has been the Steelers' starter for the first six games of the season while Wilson has been out nursing a calf injury. Wilson was active for the first time in Week 5 but served as Fields' backup.

While the Steelers currently sit at 4-2, the team's offense, specifically their passing game, has been inconsistent. The expectation at this time is that Wilson will take over as the starter on Sunday.

Wilson spent the last two seasons with the Denver Broncos, crossing paths with Jets offensive coordinator (then Broncos head coach) in 2022. He seems in line to make his Steelers debut in Week 7.
