The NY Jets have become accustomed to playing in rainy, windy conditions this season. For whatever reason, the Jets have seemed to be "blessed" with poor weather conditions in the vast majority of their games this year, something that has become a troubling trend.

From the extremely windy conditions against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6 to the rainy weather that hindered the team's games against Minnesota and Denver, the Jets haven't had a clean weather report in over a month.

That is expected to change tonight. The Jets' Week 7 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football is expected to be a clear night with minimal wind and football-friendly temperatures.

The temperature for kickoff at 8:20 pm ET is projected to be around 60 degrees with winds of just 3 mph. And the best part of all, there is a zero percent chance of precipitation according to the latest weather reports.

NY Jets don't have to worry about the weather in tonight's game

The Jets have seen the weather impact their games directly in recent weeks. The windy conditions at MetLife Stadium contributed to a poor kicking day last Monday night against the Bills, leading to Greg Zuerlein missing from 32 and 43 yards out. The Jets would lose the game by three points.

The rainy weather produced plenty of drops and slipping in the Jets' previous two games, partially resulting in Mike Williams falling down on a game-sealing interception in the Vikings game.

But the Jets shouldn't have to worry about any of that tonight. That's encouraging considering the Jets have had their hands full with other major news over the last couple of weeks.

From Robert Saleh's firing to the Davante Adams trade to the Haason Reddick situation resolving itself on Sunday, the Jets have packed a season's worth of headlines into less than two weeks.

The last thing the Jets want to worry about going into a must-win game against the Steelers is the weather, especially after what they've been forced to deal with in recent weeks.

Tonight there will be no excuses. The Jets can't blame this game on the weather if they lose. The best way to avoid playing the blame game is to win.
