The NY Jets always seem to be treated to some sort of inclement weather when they have the "privilege" of hosting games at MetLife Stadium. From rainy conditions to heavy winds, the Jets never seem to catch a break from the weather when at home in East Rutherford.

While the Jets have avoided another rainy game at home in Week 6, the team will be forced to deal with some extreme winds in their Monday Night Football matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

MetLife Stadium officially issued a "wind warning" to fans on Monday, advising those in attendance to "use caution when grilling and secure all items." Gusts are expected to reach as high as over 40 mph with steady northwest winds of around 15-20 mph.

The temperature is expected to be a crisp 52 degrees at kickoff which is scheduled for 8:15 pm ET. It'll be a cold and windy night at MetLife Stadium as the Jets hope to avoid a three-game losing streak.

NY Jets have to prepare for extreme winds tonight against the Bills

Tonight's game will mark the Jets' first in the post-Robert Saleh era. Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich is running the show while passing game coordinator Todd Downing has been tasked with calling plays on offense following Nathaniel Hackett's demotion.

The Jets' new coaching staff is expected to lean more on their ground game moving forward. At least, that's the plan after Aaron Rodgers was forced to throw over 50 passes — including 19 straight dropbacks — in last week's loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London.

That could be a good strategy, given the unfavorable weather conditions in tonight's game. Heavy winds usually make it more difficult for teams to throw the ball, which might force both the Jets and Bills to run the ball more.

The Jets enter this game with the 32nd-ranked rushing attack in the NFL, but their opponents have the 26th-ranked run defense and will be without star defensive tackle Ed Oliver. There should be some room for Breece Hall and Braelon Allen in tonight's game.

The winds might also make kicking a difficult task, which isn't ideal for the likes of Greg Zuerlein and Tyler Bass, who have each had their share of struggles already this season.

The Jets can't seem to play a game that isn't impacted by the weather in some way and tonight's game is no different. Expect heavy winds at the stadium as both the Jets and Bills battle for first place in the AFC East.
