2025 was not a good year for the New York Jets. The football team was terrible, finishing 3-14 and showing a clear talent gap in most matchups.
One area the Jets could hang their hat on, though, was their offensive line. The big guys up front routinely did their job, even if the quarterbacks they were protecting refused to throw the ball and took terrible sacks.
Thanks to their 2024 and 2025 first-round picks at tackle, Olu Fashanu and Armand Membou, the Jets are set on ends of their offensive line for the foreseeable future. The interior isn't as rock solid.
Joe Tippmann was New York's best guard, while John Simpson was steady on the left side. Josh Myers was a serviceable center and even earned a solid extension. Simpson is now gone, back with the Baltimore Ravens, and in is former Las Vegas Raiders guard Dylan Parham.
Where does the Jets' offensive line rank heading into the 2026 season? Are they a top-of-the-league unit, or do they fall closer to the middle of the pack?
Jets' offensive line ranks 14th in the league according to Mike Clay
ESPN's Mike Clay ranked every offensive line and each team's offensive lineman based on the 2025 season, and he ranked the Jets' offensive line as the 14th best in the NFL.
The individual player ratings were compiled by analyzing "a variety of stats," including pass and run block win rates and Pro Football Focus grades.
New York's highest-graded offensive lineman was their right tackle, Membou, with a rating of 7.4. It makes sense. As a rookie, the 2025 No. 7 overall pick was a beast for the Jets and easily their most consistent offensive lineman.
Parham comes in as their second-best offensive lineman, which is interesting considering his free agent market. If the former Raider were as good as Clay makes him out to be, wouldn't the Jets have had to pay him more than a two-year, $16 million contract?
The most disappointing ranking was Fashanu. He earned a rating of 5.1 despite being one of the better left tackles in the NFL. His stats weren't great, giving up 39 pressures and six sacks, but you could chalk that up to the Jets' quarterbacks.
Regardless, New York having the 14th-best offensive line is a positive development, and hopefully, with better quarterback play, it should rank even better following the 2026 season.
