New York Jets fans have reason to be skeptical about head coach Aaron Glenn heading into his second season at the helm in New York.
His first year left a lot to be desired, to say the least, as the Jets went 3-14 and looked almost unprepared in a good majority of their 2025 schedule.
Wins were few and far between, and the way they closed the season was absolutely embarrassing. Glenn's on the hot seat entering 2026, and he has to prove himself to Jets ownership and the fanbase.
But if there's one thing you can give Glenn, it's that his players haven't lost faith in their head coach, and center Josh Myers made it clear that the former NFL veteran is someone he loves playing for.
Josh Myers says Aaron Glenn is one of the best leaders he's been around
Myers, technically the elder statesman of the Jets' offensive line, had nothing but positive things to say about his head coach and made clear that he and the team believe in him.
"I think AG is one of the best leaders I've ever been around. Just the way he carries himself, just with really any situation that's been thrown at him to this point, man. I've just...I've been super impressed."Josh Myers
Despite his words, Myers also noted that the team understands there's a sense of urgency to get things turned around in New York. They can like the head coach as much as they want, but if they don't win, heads are going to roll.
"I've been around these people in this building, and I love everyone in here. That always helps with the comfortability. But like I said, I mean urgency. Now I'm not settling."Josh Myers
In continuing his praise of the people inside the Jets building, Myers made sure to shout out teammate Armand Membou, New York's 2025 first-round pick.
The second-year right tackle had a great rookie year and seems ready to take a leap heading into his sophomore season.
"Membou has the ability to be great, like one of the greats. There's a lot that needs to happen between now and then, but he's got the talent, he's got the mentality. He's a heck of a player"Josh Myers
Despite being considered one of the weaker links along the Jets' offensive line, Gang Green has, at minimum, a solid veteran presence anchoring the middle of their front five, and it's good to hear him so positive when talking about his head coach and his teammates.
