The New York Jets posted their Thursday injury report, and it shed more light on who will and will not be playing in their Week 5 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr., who is still in concussion protocol after suffering a nasty hit last week against the Chicago Bears, was upgraded from a Did Not Participate on Wednesday to a Limited Participant the following day.
There was some thought that Brownlee wouldn't be ready to go in time for Sunday, giving rookie cornerback D'Angelo Ponds the spotlight as the Jets' starting nickel corner. It seems Brownlee is doing everything in his power to get back on the field.
Other than that, things seem relatively unchanged from Glenn's initial update from Wednesday. Running back Breece Hall, wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, guard Dylan Parham, and linebacker Kiko Mauigoa were DNPs for the second consecutive practice, essentially confirming they're out for Week 5.

Other New York Jets injury report notes
Aside from the same old, same old on Mitchell, Hall, and Parham, who are all major blows to the Jets' offense in their own right, New York did get continued positive news on other key contributors.
Edge Kingsley Enagbare, who missed the Bears game, logged a second straight day of Limited Practice, indicating he's likely to be back for Week 5. The former Green Bay Packers defender has been one of the Jets' best run defenders in 2026, and his absence in Chicago was felt. The defense gave up a season-high 232 rushing yards.
Wide receiver Tim Patrick, who has been on injured reserve since before the start of the season and had his practice window opened this past week, logged two days of Full Participation on Wednesday and Thursday. The Jets still need to activate him off IR, and it remains unclear if that will 100% happen this week.
One thing is for sure: they need him. With Mitchell and Omar Cooper Jr. still nursing their own respective injuries, wide receiver is a thin position for the Jets. His return would be a boon not only to the passing game, but his ability to run block will certainly go a long way in helping jump-start a relatively dormant rushing attack.
Speaking of other boosts for the offense, tight end Mason Taylor seems to be trending towards making his return after missing the Jets' last two games with a thumb injury. Hopefully, his presence won't take away from targets for rookie Kenyon Sadiq, who desperately needs to be a part of New York's offense. He failed to log a single catch this past week against the Bears.
