And they're not exactly ideal.

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn met with reporters Wednesday afternoon and provided updates on several injured players who have either been absent the last few games or were recently injured.

For a group of playmakers that are particularly banged up, it's likely not the news Jets fans (or fantasy football managers) were looking for.

Wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, running back Breece Hall, and left guard Dylan Parham are all still week-to-week, Glenn said, via The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt. It sounds like Hall and Parham are on track to miss a second straight game, while Mitchell will miss his third.

Glenn did say that tight end Mason Taylor, who has missed the team's last two games alongside Mitchell, would return to practice, which is a positive for the Jets offense.

New York Jets will once again be short-handed on offense in Week 5

The expected absence of Hall, Mitchell, and Parham once again will mean the Jets offense won't be operating at full capacity, and for how awful they looked this past week against the Bears, they desperately need all the help they can get.

With Mitchell out, expect another practice squad elevation for veteran Sterling Shepard. In a group of receivers that includes the likes of Garrett Wilson and a bunch of fringe roster guys, his experience is invaluable.

Tim Patrick had his practice window opened this week, but it's unclear if he'll be able to ramp up in time for Week 5. It will likely take him a full week of practice to really get his body ready after missing the team's first four games.

Hall's absence likely means another Braelon Allen-filled day in the backfield. The third-year running back looked solid in Chicago, but he wasn't able to fully shine because the game got out of hand early. His 4.2 yards per carry were the best for a Jets running back since Hall in Week 1.

On a positive note, Taylor will be back for the Jets offense, giving them a boost at the tight end position. Jeremy Ruckert filled in admirably the last two weeks, but New York certainly missed Taylor's blocking in the run game.

Edge Kingsley Enagbare, whose ability to defend the run was sorely missed against the Bears in Week 4, was also back at practice. Having him, Joseph Ossai, and David Bailey all healthy will hopefully give a boost to the Jets' dormant pass rush.
