The New York Jets are bringing back a member of the 2025 team, re-signing fullback Andrew Beck to a one-year, fully guaranteed $1.5 million deal, reports NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

The seven-year NFL veteran, whose played both tight end and fullback throughout his career, clearly made an impact on the Jets coaching staff and has earned himself a role for the 2026 season. The former undrafted free agent out of Texas in 2019 proved he can contribute on offense and special teams.

Beck hauled in six receptions for 45 yards and two touchdowns this past season, while also taking his lone carry for five yards and a first down.

Beck made a name for himself at the University of Texas, earning First-Team All-Big 12 honors in 2018. Despite a successful college career, he ended up going unselected in the 2019 NFL Draft and signed a training camp deal with the New England Patriots.

New England waived him during final roster cuts, and he ended up getting picked up by the Denver Broncos just a few days later. Beck would spend the first four years of his NFL career with the Broncos, primarily playing tight end. He caught 14 passes for 159 yards and one touchdown in 51 games, serving mostly as a blocker and special teamer.

In 2023, Beck signed with the Houston Texans, where he switched from tight end to fullback full-time. Over his two-year career in Houston, Beck racked up11 receptions for 55 yards and scored four total touchdowns, including a kickoff that he muffed and returned for a score.

After bouncing between the Texans and Green Bay Packers in 2024, Beck finally found a home with the Jets in 2025, where he hopes to stick around with a team for more than one season for the first time since his stint with the Broncos.

New offensive coordinator Frank Reich has utilized the fullback position in his most recent coaching stints, and likely has a general idea of how he would like to take advantage of Beck's talents as both a blocker and a receiver. We'll see just how involved he gets in the offense throughout the 2026 season.
