The New York Jets, for the third consecutive game, will be short-handed on offense. Running back Breece Hall and left guard Dylan Parham are out, while wide receiver Adonai Mitchell will miss his fourth consecutive game. Edge Joseph Ossai will also be out.
Head coach Aaron Glenn provided the injury news at his Friday morning press conference and said they all have a chance at making their return next week against the Miami Dolphins.
"Guys that will be out this game, AD Mitchell, Breece Hall, Dylan Parham, and Joe Ossai will be out this game. It will be a good week, big week, going into next week for those men getting back on the field. We'll see how that takes place."
It sounds like the Jets will once again need contributions from their reserve players, particularly on offense. Hall and Mitchell are two major blows for an offense that needs to start hot if they want to beat the New England Patriots.

New York Jets backups who will need to step up vs. Patriots
With the Jets ruling out four key starters, the spotlight turns to a handful of players who will be asked to play an increased role when New York travels up to Foxborough, Massachusetts, for their Week 6 matchup.
For starters, Braelon Allen will get his third consecutive game as the Jets' lead back, a role in which he has served admirably well. Last week against the Cleveland Browns, the 22-year-old racked up 116 rushing yards on 24 carries and even scored the go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth.
If the Jets are going to march into Gillette Stadium and pull off the upset, they'll need a similar outing from their 22-year-old running back.
With Mitchell down once again, it will likely be the Garrett Wilson show (which no one should ever complain about), with some Tim Patrick and Omar Cooper Jr. mixed in. The Jets rookie is expected to make his return after missing the last four games with an ankle injury.
Along the offensive line, Jordan Meredith will get another start at left guard in place of the injured Parham. Meredith has been a mixed bag in three appearances this season.
Ossai is another really frustrating one. The Jets' big-ticket free agent signing has had an injury-plagued start to his tenure in New York, and the former Cincinnati Bengals draft pick just can't seem to stay healthy. It will be his third missed game this season.
