The New York Jets released their first injury report of the week on Wednesday, giving a status update on several injured Jets who may or may not end up playing in Sunday's season opener against the Tennessee Titans.
It should be noted that the Jets didn't actually practice on Wednesday, so the designations are an estimate of how much each player would have participated if the team had been on the practice field at One Jets Drive this afternoon.

Edge Joseph Ossai and wide receiver Tim Patrick were listed as DNP (Did Not Participate), while rookie cornerback D'Angelo Ponds was an LP (Limited Participation). Running backs Breece Hall and Isaiah Davis, alongside rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq, were listed as FP (Full Participation).
First New York Jets injury report good news for offense
Based on the initial listings, it's starting to feel like the Jets' offense is going to be operating at full capacity in Week 1. After some question marks surrounding key players throughout training camp and the preseason, it's a sight for sore eyes to see Hall and Sadiq as full participants.
Sadiq, New York's No. 16 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, missed practically the entire summer rehabbing from hernia surgery. He missed all of the preseason and only participated in the first day or so of training camp before being shut down with a setback.
It remains unclear what kind of role he'll have with so little work under his belt, but with a hopeful Year 2 Mason Taylor emergence, Sadiq should have time to ease himself back in.
Hall and Davis are positive as well, considering both running backs missed significant time this summer due to injury. Hall was nursing a groin injury, while Davis dealt with a nagging knee. They both should be ready to go for Tennessee.
New York Jets likely to be without Joseph Ossai for season opener
The worst news on the injury report has to be the DNP for Ossai. The former Cincinnati Bengals pass rusher was the Jets' big-ticket free-agent signing this offseason, and his tenure is off to a rough start.
Ossai suffered a foot injury in the Jets' preseason finale against the New York Giants, and Aaron Glenn later clarified it as a plantar fascia injury. ESPN's Rich Cimini wouldn't rule out a short-term stint on injured reserve when the injury first cropped up.
Expect a heavy dosage of David Bailey and Kingsley Enagbare off the edge for the Jets on Sunday, with Will McDonald rotating in on obvious passing situations.
