This week started really well in terms of their opponents' injury news for the New York Jets. New England Patriots left tackle Will Campbell sprained his knee, and running back TreVeyon Henderson dinged up his ankle in their Week 5 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, casting doubt on his status for Week 6.

As the week has progressed, it seems the Patriots have gotten reinforcements in other areas, the biggest being the potential return of superstar wide receiver A.J. Brown. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday afternoon that New England would be opening his practice window.

"The Patriots are opening the practice window for WR AJ Brown, coach Mike Vrabel told reporters. Brown, who remains on IR, has been pushing to practice this week. May be a bit early to return from a high-ankle sprain, but he’s trying."

As Rapoport notes, it "may be a bit early" for Brown to try to return in time for Week 6. He was injured in the team's season opener against the Seattle Seahawks and has been out the last four games. As the week progresses, we'll likely get a clearer picture of whether or not he'll suit up against the Jets.

Patriots seem to be getting healthier in time for New York Jets matchup

Not only did Brown make his return to practice on Wednesday, but All-Pro cornerback Christian Gonzalez did as well. The former first-round draft pick missed the Patriots' last two games with a shoulder injury.

Gonzalez told reporters today he'll be "ready to go" in time for Sunday's game against the Jets, another massive boost for New England at a key position.

It seems some other initial injury reports weren't 100% accurate either. The Boston Herald's Doug Kyed reported seeing Campbell, who was initially suspected to miss time with his sprained knee, "walked through the locker room with cleats taped up, in shoulder pad shells and holding his jersey" on Wednesday. It seems like he's back at practice already.

Regardless, the Patriots released a longer-than-average injury report on their first day of practice, with 16 players having reported injuries.

The Jets themselves aren't exactly 100% healthy, as Aaron Glenn confirmed himself on Wednesday that left guard Dylan Parham, running back Breece Hall, wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, and edge Joseph Ossai are all "week-to-week" and unlikely to suit up in New England.

It sounds like neither team will be at full capacity for the divisional matchup in Foxborough, but then again, when is any team healthy in the NFL?
