The New York Jets' revolving door of kickers this summer continues to spin. The latest update from The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt reports that New York is cutting ties with Younghoe Koo and signing former All-Pro Jason Sanders.

Sanders was most recently with the New York Giants this summer, but Big Blue cut ties with him on Tuesday. Now, the only two kickers on the Jets roster are Cade York and Sanders.

Sanders did not play football last season. He spent the year recovering from a hip injury, and it seems like the former Miami Dolphins draft pick is finally healthy again.

However, he wasn't good enough for the Giants to keep him around. Sanders looks to latch on in Florham Park and beat out York for the starting job.

Sanders has a really solid resume through seven seasons in the NFL. He has an 84.6% field goal percentage and a career-long of 57 yards.

There is a slight reason to be concerned, though. The Athletic's Dan Duggan revealed that the Giants head coach, John Harbaugh, believes "Sanders' kicking style might not be a 'perfect fit' for the windy conditions of the Meadowlands."

If there's a head coach out there that should be hailed as a special teams officianado, it's Harbaugh. He cut his teeth as a special teams coordinator under Andy Reid with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Jets clearly don't have the same concerns as the Giants did.

In all fairness, it sounds like anything would've been better than what Koo is providing as a kicker right now.

ESPN's Rich Cimini pointed out that this move was "predictable," considering how poorly Koo had performed in Jets OTAs the last few practices.

"The revolving door continues. This was predictable after yesterday. Koo shanked a couple on the same day that Sanders was a surprise cut by the Giants."

It seems like, at least for now, the primary kicking competition will be between Sanders and York. Still, the possibility shouldn't be ruled out that the Jets continue to try out other kickers throughout the summer.
