It was a disastrous 2025 season for the New York Jets, which ended with an ugly 3-14 record. Just about everything that could've gone wrong did go wrong for the Jets in year one under head coach Aaron Glenn.

With these results, Jets fans and the organization walked away from the season with very few positives. One of the few positives, though, from this abysmal season was rookie right tackle Armand Membou.

Despite all the issues New York faced on offense, headlined by poor quarterback play, Membou and the Jets' offensive line remained the one constant. The Jets were the only team in the NFL to start the same five offensive linemen in all 17 games.

Membou's consistent and impressive play for the Jets earned him a spot on the PFWA's All-Rookie Team. Membou joins New Orleans Saints rookie left tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. as the other tackle to receive the honor.

When Aaron Glenn, Darren Mougey, and the Jets selected Armand Membou with the seventh overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the hope was that they had just solidified their two bookend tackles, adding Membou opposite of Olu Fashanu.

To say Membou exceeded expectations and proved his worth in year one would be an understatement. The Missouri product finished with a strong 73.8 Pro Football Focus pass blocking grade, which ranked eleventh among 34 qualified right tackles and first among rookie right tackles.

Membou also tallied a 91.7% pass block win rate while allowing just 1.9 pressures per game. It wasn't just pass protection where Membou thrived this season; he was also very impressive as a run blocker.

The 21-year-old finished the 2025 campaign with a 72.1 run blocking grade and a 79.6% run block win rate. Membou's success as a run blocker was even more evident when looking at Breece Hall's production this season.

Hall became the first Jets running back to produce 1,000 rushing yards in a single season since Chris Ivory did it in 2015. When running behind the rookie on outside runs to the right side, Hall averaged an impressive 4.6 yards per carry.

When looking at the current state of the Jets, there are many reasons to be concerned about the future of the franchise. Questions still loom on the coaching staff, headlined by Aaron Glenn, and the roster has multiple holes that need to be filled.

Despite this, though, Membou is one of the few cornerstone bright spots for this Jets team moving forward. Whether or not the Jets have success any time soon is still to be determined, but Armand Membou's rookie season on the opposite side of Olu Fashanu provides a glimmer of hope in Florham Park.
