The New York Jets’ London trip isn’t off to the greatest start, and kickoff hasn’t even arrived yet.

Despite technically being the “home” team for Sunday’s Week 6 international showdown, the Jets are reportedly being drowned out by a sea of orange in the stands, with Denver Broncos fans packing the stadium and loudly booing every time New York appears on the Jumbotron, per SNY's Connor Hughes.

It’s an all-too-familiar feeling for a Jets team searching for answers after a humiliating 37-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5. Aaron Glenn is still chasing his first victory as head coach, and the early signs of this new regime's tenure have been troubling.

Poor execution, slow starts, and locker-room frustration have defined the first month of the season, and now the Jets must somehow overcome both the Broncos’ dominant defense and an unfriendly London crowd.

If the early atmosphere is any indication, it could be another long, uncomfortable day for Gang Green.

Jets already facing a hostile London crowd before Week 6 kickoff

It's hard to imagine a worse start to the Glenn era than what the Jets have put on tape through five weeks. They're the first team in NFL history to start a year 0-5 with zero takeaways and have looked overwhelmed and uncompetitive for much of the season to this point.

Outside of an excellent showing against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1, the Jets have been wholly outplayed in every game they've played this season. Yes, that includes tight losses to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Miami Dolphins.

The most concerning aspect has been a stunning lack of competitiveness and, at times, effort from this Jets team. It very much has the feel of a young team already going through the motions, folding at the first glimmer of any adversity.

In many ways, it's reminiscent of the Robert Saleh teams of recent years, except statistically, this Jets team is on pace to be one of the worst in franchise history.

The 2025 Jets currently ranked third-worst in franchise history — behind only the 1976 Jets and Adam Gase's 2020 Jets — in Pro Football Reference's Simple Rating System, which is calculated by determining point differential adjusted for strength of schedule.

The Jets need to find ways to be competitive moving forward, and unfortunately, it doesn't appear as though they'll get much help from their "home" crowd this morning.
