The New York Jets will make the trip across the pond for a Week 6 matchup with the Denver Broncos in London today. It will be the third time the Jets have played a game in the UK in their history, and it comes at a time when this organization is desperate for any semblance of momentum.

The Jets enter this game with an 0-5 record, still looking for the first win of the Aaron Glenn era. They're the only winless team remaining in the NFL and are fresh off another humiliating blowout home loss to the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday.

Unfortunately, their path to victory won't get any easier this week against Denver's dominant defense. Broncos pass rusher Nik Bonitto has more sacks this season than the entire Jets' roster, while old friend John Franklin-Myers is playing some of the best football of his career.

The good news for the Jets is that two key players are set to return this week. Defensive end Jermaine Johnson (ankle) and kick returner Kene Nwangwu are both off the injury report and will play today after missing the last few weeks.

There will still be a handful of absences for Gang Green, though. Nickel cornerback Michael Carter II (concussion) and wide receiver Allen Lazard (personal) are both out for today's game. Cornerback Brandon Stephens is questionable with a neck injury.

As for Denver, backup linebacker Jonah Elliss (ribs/shoulder) and left guard Ben Powers (biceps) have both been ruled out. Powers was placed on the IR on Saturday, sidelining him for a minimum of four games. Defensive tackle Malcolm Roach (calf) was activated from the IR and is listed as questionable.

Who are the official inactives for both the Jets and the Broncos today? We've got you covered.

Full inactives list for New York Jets in Week 6

  • CB Michael Carter II
  • WR Allen Lazard
  • OT Esa Pole
  • TE Jelani Woods
  • DT Leonard Taylor III
  • DE Tyler Baron
  • RB Khalil Herbert

The Jets will be without nickel cornerback Michael Carter II for a second consecutive week as he deals with a concussion. Rookie Malachi Moore received the start in his place last week, but the Jets could also use recent trade acquisition Jarvis Brownlee Jr. instead after Moore struggled.

Wide receiver Allen Lazard is inactive and didn't travel with the team to London due to a personal issue. The Jets elevated wide receivers Brandon Smith and Isaiah Williams from their practice squad, with Smith and the likes of Tyler Johnson and Arian Smith expected to see an uptick in snaps.

Williams will likely serve as one of the team's returners again despite his struggles this season. Kick returner Kene Nwangwu will return after missing the last four weeks due to a hamstring injury. With Khalil Herbert inactive, expect Williams and Nwangwu to handle kick return duties.

Cornerback Brandon Stephens is active today despite popping up on the injury report on Friday. Rookie Azareye'h Thomas will have to wait to make his starting debut.

Tyler Baron is the odd man out in the defensive end rotation with Jermaine Johnson returning this week. Leonard Taylor II, Esa Pole, and Jelani Woods are expected weekly inactives at this point.

  • DE Jordan Jackson
  • OT Frank Crum
  • DE Sai'vion Jones

The Broncos will be without backup edge rusher Jonah Elliss, who was ruled out with ribs and shoulder injuries. Rookie fourth-round pick Que Robinson is active for the first time and will make his NFL debut in place of Elliss.

Running back Jaleel McLaughlin is active for the first time this season, replacing Tyler Badie. Badie and defensive lineman Jordan Jackson are both healthy scratches, with the returning Malcolm Roach taking the latter's place.
