The New York Jets are one of two winless teams in the NFL, as the loss to the Dallas Cowboys dropped them to 0-5 on the season. Aaron Glenn is still looking for his first NFL win, and the initial goodwill has worn off a coaching staff that came to town with a ton of hype.

These losses have led to some truly nauseating post-game quotes, including a few from Sauce Gardner that don't seem ideal for a team that continues to lose. The one shining beacon of consistency has been wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who offered up a quote that oozes leadership.

Glenn has been getting ripped for the kiss of death proclamation that New York had a great week of practice before another game full of penalties, blown coverages, and turnovers. Wilson's thought on that quote makes sense, and it shows why the Jets are lucky to have him.

Wilson said that it doesn't matter if his best plays throughout the week are on Thursday, as they mean nothing if he isn't executing on Sunday. That sort of self-accountability is rare on this Jets team, especially for a group of players who have done nothing but lose for the majority of their careers.

Garrett Wilson has awesome quote after Jets get crushed by Cowboys in Week 5

Wilson has caught 33 passes for 382 yards and four touchdowns this season, putting him on pace for yet another fantastic season despite below-average quarterback play. Wilson is the only Jets wide receiver whom defenses have to pay any attention to.

While rookie tight end Mason Taylor appears to be a keeper, the rest of the Jets' receivers are downright pitiful. Josh Reynolds and Allen Lazard may not even be good enough to be on most NFL rosters, yet they are some of the featured wide receivers on this Jets team.

The only thing the Jets can do well on either side of the ball is run between the tackles. Even getting Wilson the ball has been a challenge, as he had just one catch in the first half despite Dallas coming into the game with the worst passing defense in the entire league.

If the Jets are going to turnt his thing around, which is looking less likely with each passing game, it will be with Wilson at the center of an offensive revival.
