The New York Jets suffered another heartbreaking loss on Sunday afternoon in their first road clash of the season. A Will McDonald blocked field goal, returned for a touchdown, wasn't enough as Chase McLaughlin kicked a game-winning field goal for the Buccaneers as time expired.

It was more of the same for the Jets this week as the team fell to an ugly 0-3 record start to the season. A slow start on both sides of the football was followed by a spirited comeback from the offense, just for this struggling defense to give the game away at the buzzer.

As Aaron Glenn still searches for his first win, he continues to battle the New York media. Despite the negativity and criticism surrounding the Jets, which is warranted right now, Glenn isn't focusing on that.

"The one thing I don't do, which I understand New York media tries to do, is the negative parts of it. I'm not going to be that way; I'm going to let you guys deal with that. We're going to look at the things we did well."

Sitting at 0-3, the honeymoon for Aaron Glenn and this coaching staff is over. It's still early, but as the losses continue to mount, the pressure on this staff and regime will only increase.

Aaron Glenn battles the New York media after another heartbreaking Jets loss

This isn't the first time Glenn has taken aim at the New York media since taking over in January. From his opening press conference to now, Glenn's demeanor and comments towards the media have been at times very different from those of his predecessors.

Today, however, was a bad look for the first-time head coach. You can't preach that there are no moral victories and accountability while at the same time getting upset that the outside perception of this football team is negative.

As Bill Parcells, a key mentor for Aaron Glenn, has said, "you are what your record says you are." The Jets are a bad football team that is 0-3. The fanbase and media alike aren't going to be positive when these are the same results as the last 14+ years.

It's not just the losses that are an issue; it's the way New York is losing these games. After a promising Week 1 performance, the Jets no-showed last week against Buffalo.

That was followed up by a performance on Sunday, which featured a Jets team that was sleepwalking through the first three quarters of the game. It wasn't until the late-game heroics from Will McDonald that it became a truly winnable game.

No one with rational thoughts is calling for Aaron Glenn to be fired, both in the media and in the fanbase. However, there are concerning signs through the first three games that this coaching staff needs to prove wrong.

Pulling the positivity card in this market in front of this fanbase, though, isn't going to cut it. The Jets, led by Glenn, need to start showing considerable progress that leads to winning football games.

Losing cultures like the Jets are fixed by winning football games. Until that happens, the noise is only going to get louder and rightfully so.
