It's been a difficult season for NY Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Not only is Rodgers on pace for his worst statistical season as a starter, but he's been forced to deal with a number of injuries that have seemingly accelerated his aging process.

Rodgers is still a little over a year from tearing his Achilles and has taken quite a few hits this season. The result is a soon-to-be 41-year-old quarterback who is showing his age.

Rodgers was listed on the injury report with knee and hamstring injuries ahead of the team's Week 9 game against the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football tonight. He's also still nursing an ankle injury he suffered earlier in the year.

This is the second week in a row that Rodgers has been listed on the injury report with multiple injuries and the sixth consecutive week he's been at least limited in practice.

Rodgers may be banged up, but does that mean he's not playing tonight? What's his injury status for Week 9?

Is Aaron Rodgers playing tonight?

Yes, Rodgers will be on the field when the Jets take on the Texans in tonight's game. The four-time MVP was estimated as a limited participant for Monday's practice with knee and hamstring injuries but returned as a full participant on Tuesday.

Rodgers is dealing with as many as four different injuries going into this game, including issues with his hamstring, ankle, and both knees. Despite this, Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich insists the team does not plan to rest him at any point in the foreseeable future.

Rodgers has taken matters into his own hands courtesy of his teammate, Jets punter Thomas Morstead. The future Hall of Famer touted a new "fountain of youth" drink that he began consuming this week — warm water mixed with cayenne pepper.

The magical elixir is supposed to aid in the healing process, and Rodgers insisted he's already feeling healthier this week. He'll need all the help he can get against a talented Texans pass rush tonight.

The Jets' roster has been hit hard with the injury bug in recent weeks with six players ruled out for tonight's game. Aaron Rodgers is not one of those players. He will be on the field with his teammates at MetLife Stadium.
