The NY Jets have been beaten down both physically and emotionally over the last few weeks, and that extends to their quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is dealing with multiple injuries as he prepares for the Jets' Week 8 game against the New England Patriots.

The four-time MVP was added to the injury report on Wednesday — a frequent home for him this season — with a hamstring injury. That hamstring injury is just the latest in a long line of ailments Rodgers has dealt with this season.

Rodgers now has suffered injuries to both knees and has a low-ankle sprain to go along with whatever is wrong with his hamstring. That's four separate injuries the almost 41-year-old quarterback is being forced to manage.

Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich told reporters that Rodgers would be limited in practice on Wednesday but that his status for Sunday's game was not in question. That's become a trend with Rodgers this season.

Should NY Jets fans be concerned about Aaron Rodgers' injury?

Rodgers has not participated fully in practice on a Wednesday since Week 4. He was limited with a knee injury in Week 5, an ankle injury in Week 6, and even missed a full day of practice last week due to his ankle injury.

While none of the injuries appear to be significant enough to impact his availability for Week 8, the mounting ailments are a concern. Rodgers has looked increasingly immobile and uncomfortable in the pocket, and it's hard not to imagine his health is playing a role in that.

Rodgers is still only a little over a year removed from tearing his Achilles. Combine that with his four different injuries in 2024 and it's not a surprise that he appears uncomfortable and hesitant to throw downfield.

Of course, that shouldn't be used as an excuse for the Jets' struggles this season. The team's issues extend far beyond the quarterback position and even the rest of the roster. The injuries certainly don't help, however.

The Jets will continue to monitor Rodgers' status as the week progresses, but there's no reason to believe his status for Week 8 is in jeopardy at this stage. Tyrod Taylor is Rodgers' primary backup with Adrian Martinez, who has already been elevated once this season, on the practice squad.
