Aaron Glenn risks losing Jets locker room if he continues to stick by Justin Fields

This could get ugly.

The New York Jets embarrassed themselves again on Sunday as they fell 13-11 to the Denver Broncos in London. Aaron Glenn and the Jets remain the only winless team in the NFL at 0-6 on the season.

A much-needed bounce-back performance from the Jets' defense wasn't enough in this game, as Justin Fields and the Jets offense hit historic lows. Despite this, Aaron Glenn is still riding with his starting quarterback, which could prove to be a massive mistake.

SNY's Connor Hughes revealed that several players in the Jets locker room believe that Tyrod Taylor is their best quarterback. He added that some players have felt this way since training camp.

Sitting at 0-6 on the season with a quarterback who looks lost, Aaron Glenn is running the risk of losing this locker room already.

Justin Fields was awful on Sunday. In fact, he put up a performance that has never been seen before in Jets history and hasn't been done in the NFL in 27 years.

Fields' -10 net passing yards was the lowest in a game in Jets history and the lowest in the NFL since Ryan Leaf in the third game of his career in 1998. Fields also took a whopping nine sacks, in which he averaged holding onto the football for 3.95 seconds on those sacks.

The Jets offense also generated zero explosive plays in this game, while Fields joined Zach Wilson as the second Jets quarterback to throw at least 15 passes and end the game with the same number of completions as sacks.

Unfortunately, Aaron Glenn only made matters worse with his embarrassing postgame comments, which came in defense of Justin Fields.

Anyone who has watched Jets games this season knows that Fields has had struggles all year long. Outside of week one against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Fields and the Jets offense hasn't been good enough.

Glenn can't preach accountability while at the same time continuing to throw Fields out there week in and week out. The Broncos were sleepwalking all game long on Sunday, and if Tyrod Taylor was put into the game, New York would probably have a win right now.

Fields' athleticism is an obvious weapon, but Taylor's passing ability is far greater than Fields', which is what the Jets need right now.

Tyrod Taylor needs to be this team's starting quarterback moving forward, and if he isn't, Glenn could lose this locker room before he even finishes his first season.
