The New York Jets have been relatively lucky with injuries throughout training camp, with nobody suffering any serious long-term injuries. (Knock on wood.)

The worst hand they've been dealt is with rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq, who is facing a setback stemming from a hernia surgery he received between rookie minicamp and training camp. The first-round draft pick missed all of OTAs while recovering.

Luckily, head coach Aaron Glenn provided a positive update on Sadiq, while also revealing a timeline for several other injured Jets, including defensive linemen Kingsley Enagbare and running back Isaiah Davis.

Glenn framed the news around Sadiq as positive, while both Enagbare and Davis are dealing with new injuries.

Kenyon Sadiq's injury won't keep him out of the regular season for the New York Jets

While we initially knew Sadiq would be out for the remainder of training camp, there was only hope that he would eventually be back for the regular season.

Well, today Glenn confirmed that Sadiq's injury will not keep him off the field to start his rookie season, which should erase all concerns about the exciting young tight end.

"We actually got pretty news the other day. I'm just crossing my fingers," Glenn told reporters. "And still I'm gonna say it's a couple of weeks still, you know. But it's not anything that's gonna keep him out of the regular season."

Every Jets fan should take a collective sigh of relief after hearing that. If New York's offense is going to be operating at full capacity, they'll need their transcendent talent at tight end on the field.

But Sadiq isn't the only Jet to be dealing with an injury, and Glenn continued giving injury updates on both Enagbare and Davis.

"JJ (Enagbare) has an ankle. He'll be day-to-day. I'm not really worried about that. Isaiah Davis, he had a minor knee, and he'll be out maybe a couple of weeks, all right? But he'll be back, all right? Again, I'm confident that he'll be just fine going through the regular season."

The news on Engabare is unfortunate, considering the Jets' edge rotation is getting fairly thin. Free agent signing Joseph Ossai is still on the PUP list, so it seems like Will McDonald and David Bailey will be seeing increased reps in practice.

Meanwhile, Davis' injury seems more serious, and similar to Sadiq, we likely won't see him until Week 1 in Nashville. It should allow Braelon Allen more run as the complementary piece behind Breece Hall.
