The New York Jets have shown they are not a team that is completely done building their roster when training camp starts, as Darren Mougey added two quality defensive linemen in Jowon Briggs and Harrison Phillips with low-key trades. Could he repeat that process again?

The Jets could stand to bring in one more interior offensive lineman of note to upgrade over Josh Myers, a quarterback who might be more adept at filling a full-time backup role, and a defensive back who can add some star power to a room that could stand to add one more impact player.

These three players could check all those boxes, giving the Jets an even more robust roster than what they already have.

3. Cesar Ruiz, IOL, New Orleans Saints

Ruiz, who came into the league as a center and switched to right guard, has come under fire in New Orleans for some roller-coaster play. While it might be tough to trade for a starting offensive lineman on a team with a young quarterback like Tyler Shough, Ruiz is at least worth the attempt.

Ruiz kicking back to center might be a bit unorthodox, but it could give him the fresh start he needs and will help the Jets upgrade on an already stout offensive line.

2. Andy Dalton, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

Dalton is in a four-man quarterback room behind Jalen Hurts at the moment, as he is competing with well-regarded backup Tanner McKee and rookie Cole Payton. The Jets may give him a more reasonable path to playing time if rookie Cade Klubnik is not up to the task of being QB2 in 2026.

Dalton can pick up a playbook in no time at all and still has enough juice left in his arm to make some challenging throws down the field, both of which should appeal to offensive coordinator Frank Reich.

1. S Jessie Bates III, Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons may look to offload Bates, who is in the last year of his contract, despite his being named a Second Team All-Pro last season. The recent extensions to skill position players like Bijan Robinson and Drake London are expensive, and they need assets to upgrade the pass rush after Jalon Walker's ACL injury.

Bates and Minkah Fitzpatrick together in the Jets' secondary would be the best safety duo the Jets have had since Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye, though it may cost a particularly valuable asset to make this trade come to fruition.
