The New York Jets have put an end to months of speculation, agreeing to a three-year contract extension with star running back Breece Hall worth more than $15 million per season. Hall will be tied to the Jets for the next few years as Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey try to turn things around.

With the Jets in possession of oodles of future cap space, the time is right for some of their other young players to work their way into the long-term vision.

These three Jets may be in line for big paydays relatively soon on a Jets team that is going all-in on a youth movement with money to spend.

3 Jets who could get extended after Breece Hall deal

1. DT Jowon Briggs

Even though Briggs isn't extension eligible for a bit longer, the Jets might be able to land a deal that compensates the former Browns late-round pick well if he maintains his production from this year. Briggs may be the league's best-kept secret, and the Jets may need to hope it stays that way.

On top of his versatility and the fact that he was one of the best pass-rushing defensive tackles in the NFL after the Jets parted ways with Quinnen Williams, Briggs is still just 24 years old. His best years are ahead of him, and they should be with the Jets.

2. EDGE Will McDonald

McDonald is a well-known quantity as a player due to his extreme nature. McDonald may very well be the worst run defender in the entire NFL, but he is still able to get to the quarterback despite a lack of surrounding talent.

If McDonald and No. 2 pick David Bailey play well together, and the two free agent acquisitions in Joseph Ossai and Kingsley Enagbare manage to live up to the hype, the Jets' pass rush could go from pitiful to fairly impressive.

1. OG Joe Tippmann

Tippmann is one of the few Joe Douglas holdovers that have warranted such massive investment. He appeared to be the team's center of the future, but a sudden change to right guard last offseason may have increased his earning power, as he proved to be a rock-solid pass protector and run blocker.

The Jets' young offensive line might be quite expensive in the coming years, but there's nothing wrong with overpaying for protection up front in the modern NFL. Tippmann would also be a rare Day 2 pick who produces with the Jets and earns a second contract with this franchise.
