Tennessee Titans vs. New York Jets Live Tracker: Week 1 Preseason
Get up-to-the-minute updates from tonight’s preseason Week 1 matchup between the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets.
Preseason Week 1 is finally here! Tonight, the New York Jets welcome the Tennessee Titans to MetLife Stadium to begin playing against real competition. Of course, starters from each team might only get a drive or two since preseason football doesn’t mean much of anything. It’s all about seeing what backups and third-stringers can do in real game simulations and also testing out certain packages and plays in games that don’t even matter.
Tonight for the Jets, it’s all about the quarterback, offensive line, defensive secondary, linebackers, ah heck, the entire team, to be honest. They’ve purged most of their veteran talent in favor of rebuilding the team in favor of a bright future. There will be some obstacles and adversity along the way but in the grand scheme of things, the Jets are doing it right, at the cost of the 2017 NFL season.
Don’t expect the Jets to win many football games this season but the good news is that progression, development, and growth will define this franchise as early as tonight. The 2017 NFL Draft class got some solid grades so far this offseason as it’ll be exciting to see how they develop as the season progresses.

Would be interesting to see Christian Hackenberg get more work with first-team offensive line. Not getting a lot of help from backups here.
