1 mistake the Jets defense can't afford to make against Jordan Love

With the Green Bay Packers coming to town for a Week 2 tilt against the New York Jets, there's a clear blueprint Aaron Glenn and his defense can follow to disrupt Jordan Love and the Packers' offense. The Minnesota Vikings put that on display for the world to see this past weekend.

Minnesota's defensive front had its way with Green Bay's offensive line, sacking Love four times en route to the 39-22 come-from-behind victory. Brian Flores is one of the league's brightest defensive minds, and he made it clear exactly where you can exploit the Packers.

But the Vikings' defensive outing also showed the Jets one thing they can't afford to do against Love, and that's sending one too many pass rushers after. The Packers quarterback was able to pick that apart with ease.

Jordan Love was at his best against the blitz, showing New York Jets what they can't do

A to Z Sports' Tyler Forness shared Love's passing splits against the Vikings when faced with the blitz vs. a four-man rush, and the dichotomy is pretty insane to compare and contrast.

Obviously, Love wasn't perfect when faced with the four-man rush. He threw an interception and only completed 57% of his passes. But the fact that he still managed to throw for 387 yards and two touchdowns should tell you all you need to know.

Glenn doesn't need to dial up any exotic blitzes to get pressure on Love. All he needs to do is let his front four go to work and have the remaining seven waiting patiently in coverage. As long as the defenders hold up, Love should be sped up, or in the best-case scenario, brought down to the MetLife Stadium turf.

New York Jets pass rushers should feast on Packers offensive line

The Jets received a bit of a scare on Thursday when edge Will McDonald popped up on the injury report with an ankle injury. He was limited in that day's practice, but Glenn confirmed on Friday that McDonald will be suiting up against the Packers.

That's a major relief, considering New York is going to need him on Sunday. This is the exact kind of game McDonald can dominate, especially if the Jets are able to get the kind of pressure on Love that the Vikings were able to in Week 1.

David Bailey, McDonald, and Kingsley Enagbare should all see prime opportunities to record some sacks, especially with the way the Packers' offensive line is currently in flux.
