Tom Brady may be retired from football, but he’s clearly not done tormenting the New York Jets.

At an event called Fanatics Fest in New York this weekend, Brady made a grand WWE-style entrance to pro wrestler Cody Rhodes’ entrance music. Brady soaked in the spotlight like the sports heel character he’s always embraced.

In typical Brady fashion, he took the opportunity to take a dig at his longtime rival, grabbing a Sauce Gardner Jets jersey from someone in the crowd, spitting on it, and stomping it into the ground, all while flashing a sly grin in the process.

It didn’t take long for Gardner himself to respond, quote-tweeting the video with the famous 50 Cent “What you saying f— me for?” GIF. It was a perfect reaction to a petty and perfectly Brady moment. For Jets fans, it was just another chapter in a 20-year horror story they know all too well.

Brady's heelish actions and latest Jets bullying can be seen below, along with Gardner's reaction.

Tom Brady continues to torment the Jets even in retirement

Brady made a career out of humiliating and mocking the Jets, and, as we saw this weekend, he still takes great joy in doing it long after retirement. Spitting on Gardner’s jersey wasn’t some shocking heel turn. For Jets fans, it was vintage Brady.

This is the same guy who went 30-7 against the Jets in his career, throwing 60 touchdowns and just 16 interceptions. That cocky smirk has been haunting Florham Park for over 20 years.

Even as a retired quarterback and minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, Brady has never missed an opportunity to jab the Jets. Whether it’s subtle shade on podcasts or stomping on the jersey of their franchise cornerstone, Brady clearly still sees the Jets as his personal punching bag.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Jets are trying to move forward — finally. A new regime, a new quarterback in Justin Fields, and a younger, more team-focused identity under head coach Aaron Glenn.

But Brady’s stunt is a reminder that, for as much as things change, some things stay the same. When it comes to Tom Brady and the Jets, the hate is mutual... and eternal. Jets fans will always hold a special place in their hateful hearts for the so-called GOAT.
