The Jet Press Podcast: Shedeur Sanders debate, NY Jets report card, NFL Combine talk

In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano debate Shedeur Sanders as a quarterback prospect, evaluate the NY Jets' failing NFLPA report card, discuss Aaron Glenn's recent comments on Aaron Rodgers, and preview the upcoming NFL Combine.

The show began with an extensive discussion about Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. ESPN's Mel Kiper recently predicted that Sanders would fall to the Jets at the No. 7 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft in his latest mock draft.

Justin and Mike debated Sanders' draft status and whether he makes sense for the Jets. While Mike was much more in favor of the idea, citing Sanders' accuracy and football IQ, Justin had reservations with the former Jackson State QB.

Should the Jets consider Sanders if he's available at pick No. 7? How does he compare to Miami's Cam Ward as a prospect? Does he have enough upside to justify the selection? Nearly half the show was devoted to this discussion.

The conversation then shifted to the recent NFLPA player report cards that were published on Wednesday. The Jets unsurprisingly ranked near the bottom of the NFL, with Woody Johnson being the only owner to receive an 'F' grade.

Do these grades matter? How much stock do free agents and players around the league put into NFLPA player report cards? Is there any hope for Johnson to change his ways?

Justin and Mike then chatted briefly about Aaron Glenn's press conference at the NFL Combine this week. Glenn spoke about Aaron Rodgers, specifically about Quinnen Williams' social media antics following the announcement that Rodgers would not be retained.

Glenn commanded the room, much like he did in his introductory press conference, and seemed to squash the Williams situation before it became a true problem.

Finally, Justin and Mike each broke down one 2025 NFL Draft prospect to keep an eye on at this year's NFL Combine. Mike took a closer look at Ohio State safety Lathan Ransom while Justin made the case for Missouri offensive lineman Armand Membou, who could even be a first-round target for the Jets.
