In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano discuss the Mike Maccagnan and Joe Douglas news, the latest Russell Wilson update, Breece Hall contract drama, the New York Jets' quarterback room, and some immaculate grids.

The show started with a quick discussion about the return of former Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan, who officially joined the Philadelphia Eagles' front office as a personnel executive, where he will coincidentally unite with fellow ex-Jets GM Joe Douglas. Howie Roseman is assembling an Avengers-like team of failed Jets executives, it appears.

That transitioned into a conversation about Breece Hall and the latest on his contract situation. Will the Jets and Hall agree to terms on an extension before the start of the 2026 season, or will he play the year on the franchise tag?

Justin and Mike each offered their thoughts on the situation, with the former offering a bit more skepticism. Could the Jets end up trading Hall at some point in the future? It's definitely a possibility.

The bulk of the show was dedicated to breaking down the Jets' quarterback room, starting with an update on the backup QB spot. The Jets reportedly have an offer out for Russell Wilson, but do we expect him to be their QB2 to start the 2026 season?
