In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano break down each of their final seven-round 2026 NFL Mock Drafts for the New York Jets and settle the Arvell Reese vs. David Bailey debate once and for all.

Both hosts landed on the same selection at No. 2 overall, taking Ohio State hybrid linebacker Arvell Reese. Justin and Mike spent time revisiting the ongoing Reese vs. Bailey debate, explaining why they still believe Reese is the more likely pick for the Jets despite the recent Bailey buzz.

While acknowledging nobody truly knows what the Jets will do, both agreed the team has done an excellent job keeping its plans under wraps and that Reese still feels like the best bet when reading the tea leaves.

The two mock drafts also shared plenty of similarities beyond the first pick. Both Justin and Mike had the Jets selecting a wide receiver at No. 16 overall, though they chose different prospects. Each also had the Jets targeting a cornerback and an offensive lineman on Day 2, while both drafts included a tight end and two wide receivers overall.

Even the later rounds had some overlap. Both hosts selected Tennessee defensive lineman Tyre West in the seventh round, a notable name given his recent interview with The Jet Press and pre-draft top 30 visit with the Jets. Each mock draft also featured a late-round special teams linebacker flyer.

The episode included discussion on a wide range of draft prospects the Jets could target throughout the weekend. Names like D’Angelo Ponds, Makai Lemon, Denzel Boston, Keylan Rutledge, and many others were debated as the hosts worked through multiple scenarios for the Jets' four picks in the top 44.
