In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano discuss a variety of New York Jets draft questions, ranging from the Arvell Reese vs. David Bailey debate to the quarterback conversation to other Jets draft-related subjects.

The vast majority of the show was dedicated to the ongoing Reese vs. Bailey debate that has captured the minds of Jets fans. Justin and Mike provided their updated stance on the discourse and pushed back on some recent anti-Bailey narratives.

Mike rejected the narrative that Bailey is essentially Will McDonald 2.0, while Justin argued that, while there are valid reasons for the Jets to prefer Bailey over Reese, the ones being discussed by the national media miss the mark.

The Jets shouldn't take Bailey over Reese because he's a "safer" prospect or because he's more likely to save Aaron Glenn's job. Not only would that be poor rationale to apply to the No. 2 overall pick, but both stances are categorically untrue.

Justin and Mike went fully in-depth with the Reese/Bailey discourse, answering a variety of questions from chat before moving on to some other Jets-related draft questions.

TRENDING: FanSided's NFL Draft Big Board

For starters, will the Jets draft a quarterback at any point this year? Both co-hosts had differing opinions, although neither expects the Jets to end up with Alabama's Ty Simpson.

Could the Jets add a running back during the draft? They've done homework on guys like Penn State's Nicholas Singleton and Indiana's Kaelon Black, but will either be on the Jets' radar come next week?

We also discussed a scenario in which the Jets target an offensive lineman in the top 44 picks, and which players would be the most likely options. Our final question was whether Jets fans would be happy once the draft ended. In short, probably not — because these are Jets fans we’re talking about.
