In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano provide their final New York Jets predictions for the 2026 season and preview the team's upcoming Week 1 matchup with the Tennessee Titans.

But first, the show opened with a recent report from The Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt detailing Aaron Glenn’s relationship with Woody Johnson and why Glenn’s job may be much safer than some Jets fans realize.

Justin and Mike also discussed the unsurprising revelation that Johnson and former head coach Robert Saleh never really saw eye to eye, along with the report that none of the Jets’ head coach or general manager candidates wanted Aaron Rodgers back during the 2025 hiring cycle. Again...not exactly shocking.

From there, Justin and Mike made their predictions for the Jets' upcoming season. Among those predictions was Justin predicting that Adonai Mitchell will lead the Jets in receiving touchdowns and that rookie D’Angelo Ponds will finish the year as the best cornerback on the roster despite missing significant time this summer with a calf injury.

Mike predicted that four different Jets receivers will top 500 receiving yards and that the defense will produce multiple Pro Bowlers. There were a few other predictions as well!

The guys then turned their attention to Sunday’s Week 1 matchup against the Tennessee Titans and former Jets head coach Robert Saleh. Justin and Mike discussed the biggest keys to victory, what they expect from both teams, and whether Jets fans will be celebrating after the final whistle.

The episode also previewed TJP Fridays, a new weekly show launching this Friday morning on The Jet Press YouTube channel. Justin will host the show each week with a rotating group of guests.

For the debut episode, Justin Melo of Sports Illustrated and FanSided joins the show to preview Jets-Titans, discuss the 2027 NFL Draft, and defend a recent mock draft that sparked plenty of debate among Jets fans.
