The show started with an in-depth discussion about the Jets' blockbuster trade for Adams this week. Justin and Mike broke down the immediate and long-term ramifications of the Adams trade.
How much does this move the needle for the Jets? How much does Adams actually improve the offense? Was the value worth it? Did the Jets even need another wide receiver? All of that was discussed.
Speaking of wide receivers, Justin and Mike next spoke about Mike Williams and the ongoing trade discussions he is a part of. The Jets seem likely to trade Williams following the addition of Adams.
The Jets signed Williams to be the big-play vertical threat in their offense, but the former Chargers wideout has just 10 catches through six weeks. His struggles to get on the same page with Aaron Rodgers will ultimately lead to his eventual departure.
When will the Jets trade Williams? What could they get for him at this stage? Should they even be trading him? Justin and Mike answered all of those questions.
In what has been a chaotic couple of weeks for the Jets, the latest development in the Haason Reddick saga has flown a little under the radar. Reddick has signed with a new agency and we've seen legitimate progress in the situation in recent days.
Does this mean the Jets will be able to work out a resolution with Reddick? Does it mean he's going to be traded? Realistically, I don't think anyone knows.
Finally, Justin and Mike provided a brief preview of the Jets' upcoming Sunday Night Football matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Russell Wilson is stepping in as Pittsburgh's starting quarterback, but is that good or bad news for the Jets?
