In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano discuss changes the New York Jets must make moving forward, Justin Fields, Tony Adams, some encouraging Jets stats, and the team's upcoming Week 5 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

The show started with a lengthy discussion about changes the Jets can make to correct their disappointing 0-4 start. From schematic adjustments to personnel decisions, Justin and Mike took a deep dive into the situation the Jets currently find themselves in.

On the defensive side of the ball, both Justin and Mike agreed that Jarvis Brownlee Jr. should take over as the team's new starting nickel cornerback, perhaps as soon as this week. Brownlee was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, while Carter seems likely to miss at least a game with a concussion.

But even when both are healthy, it might be time for the Jets to make a change. The Jets should probably also make a change at safety, with Tony Adams heading to the bench in favor of rookie Malachi Moore. There's no justification for Adams continuing to start.

On offense, Justin emphasized the need for Tanner Engstrand and the Jets to do a better job of getting Justin Fields into an early rhythm. While the running game remains the focal point, Fields has shown he’s most effective as a passer once he settles in. Establishing that rhythm should be a clear point of emphasis moving forward.

Justin and Mike then took a look at a few encouraging stats as part of the Gang Green Stat Machine. The likes of Quinnen Williams and Armand Membou continue to dominate, while Brandon Stephens put together his best game of the season in Week 4.

Finally, we were joined by Jerry Trotta of The Landry Hat to discuss the Jets' upcoming Week 5 matchup with the Cowboys. Justin, Mike, and Jerry took a closer look at this game, analyzing key matchups, injuries, and more.
