In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano discuss burning New York Jets questions related to the futures of Breece Hall and Alijah Vera-Tucker and hypothetical draft scenarios involving David Bailey, Caleb Downs, and the No. 2 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

The show started with a discussion about Breece Hall and his future with the Jets. Hall is set to be a free agent in under a month, and the Jets will have the option to place the franchise tag on him.

Is that a route the Jets should take? Is Hall worth the franchise tag, or should the Jets save money and take a risk on the transition tag? What if the Jets simply let him walk in free agency?

Justin and Mike discussed every potential outcome with Hall, gave their predictions, and also offered their thoughts on what they believe the Jets should ultimately do with their standout running back.

That transitioned into a conversation about Alijah Vera-Tucker's future in New York. The former first-round pick is also set to be a free agent, and it remains to be seen if the Jets will look to bring him back.

Justin and Mike debated whether Vera-Tucker should be a priority for the Jets, with the latter arguing in favor of letting him walk and the former believing the team should do everything it can to re-sign him.

The final portion of the show was dedicated to another debate about the No. 2 overall pick in this year's NFL Draft. Texas Tech edge rusher David Bailey has received a lot of attention as a potential Jets draft target in recent weeks, but does he make sense at No. ?

Justin and Mike had in-depth conversations about Bailey's value as a prospect and how it relates to Ohio State edge rusher/linebacker Arvell Reese and Miami defensive end Rueben Bain Jr. Reese, specifically, was a major discussion point, with both Justin and Mike projecting his fit both at the NFL level and with the Jets.

But what about other prospects like Ohio State safety Caleb Downs, linebacker Sonny Styles, or even wide receivers Makai Lemon, Carnell Tate, and Jordyn Tyson? The second half of this show was very draft-heavy, with some great discussions.
