In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano discuss the biggest X-factors for the New York Jets entering 2026, break down the state of the team's cornerback room, and play another viewer-submitted Jets trivia quiz.

Justin and Mike examined Jamien Sherwood's projections after his disappointing 2025 campaign, discussing how a bounce-back year could completely change the outlook of the Jets' defense.

They also talked about rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq and why he may have the highest ceiling of any Jets skill position player not named Garrett Wilson, even if a significant rookie role isn't guaranteed.

The discussion continued with Olu Fashanu, whose development could determine just how high the ceiling is for the Jets' offensive line, before shifting to defensive tackle Jowon Briggs.

After a breakout 2025 season, Briggs now faces the challenge of proving he can build on that success and establish himself as a long-term cornerstone of the Jets' defensive line.

The duo also continued their position-by-position roster breakdown series with an in-depth look at the Jets' cornerback room this week.

Justin and Mike debated realistic expectations for Brandon Stephens, whether Nahshon Wright or Azareye'h Thomas is the favorite to start opposite Stephens, and what roles guys like D'Angelo Ponds and Jarvis Brownlee Jr. could carve out this season.
