In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano discuss the latest Aaron Rodgers drama, take a look back at the New York Jets' decision to let him walk, and break down some remaining goals for the organization in 2025.

The show started with a little retrospective about former Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers as a response to the latest drama surrounding the future Hall of Famer and his current team.

Rodgers took a page out of his Jets playbook this week, throwing teammate Jonnu Smith under the bus for failing to run the correct route in his team's blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 13.

We took a look back at the Jets' decision to let Rodgers walk in the offseason, how well that decision has aged, and if the team should have any regrets (they shouldn't).

The rest of the show was mostly devoted to looking ahead to the Jets' final five games of the season and breaking down what we personally want to see happen over the next month or so. What are the Jets' goals for the rest of 2025? In short, why should we keep watching?

Both Justin and Mike highlighted the need to evaluate the team's young playmakers, with Mike specifically mentioning Mason Taylor as a player the Jets should look to get involved in the offense as much as possible.

The Jets should also use these final few games to evaluate other players on the roster, such as Adonai Mitchell, John Metchie, Malachi Moore, Azareye'h Thomas, Jowon Briggs, and even guys like John Simpson and Josh Myers. The Jets should strive to have a clear idea of where each of those players fits in with their 2026 plans.

It would also be nice for the Jets to record their first interception of the season and to win a few games down the stretch. Justin specifically mentioned the team's Week 18 matchup against the Buffalo Bills as a game Jets fans would love to see their team win.

Finally, Justin and Mike previewed the Jets' upcoming Week 14 game against the Miami Dolphins this Sunday. Mike believes this is another very winnable game for the Jets, while Justin was a little more hesitant about Gang Green's chances.
