The New York Jets are trying everything in their power to ensure that 2025 is a blip on the radar, spending a ton of money to beef up the roster and invest in their young players.
The Jets have several players who, if everything manages to work out as far as expectations are concerned, could end up making waves across the league.
Even if national hardware might be hard to come by, these players might be able to win some individual awards for the Jets.
Jets 2026 award winners predictions after crazy offseason
MVP: WR Garrett Wilson
Heading into 2026, Wilson may have the best infrastructure around him since he arrived in the pros. The $32.5 million man has produced with horrendous quarterbacks before, and he could be in for his best season yet as the top dog in this new-look passing offense.
Offensive Player of the Year: RB Breece Hall
Hall was paid like one of the top running backs in football this offseason, and the Jets plan to ride him as much as possible. The offensive line remains intact, and Hall may have some semblance of a passing game after last season's Justin Fields disaster.
Defensive Player of the Year: LB Demario Davis
Even at age 37, Davis has shown himself to be one of the more consistent and effective linebackers in the league. Davis amplifying the defense and relegating Jamien Sherwood to more of a complementary role should be all this franchise needs to look respectable on defense.
Comeback Player of the Year: RB Braelon Allen
Allen missed all but four games last season, putting the brakes on his upward ascension. Now weighing close to 250 pounds and ready to go on the attack, Allen can show that his injury is not career-altering. Expect a solid RB2 season from the Wisconsin product.
Rookie of the Year: CB D'Angelo Ponds
An upset! Even though No. 2 pick David Bailey will play a ton of snaps right away and (in all likelihood) start piling up some sacks, Ponds' ability to create turnovers should translate well to a nickel role in the pros. Those interceptions will be much appreciated by the Jets after last year.
Best Newcomer: S Minkah Fitzpatrick
Fitzpatrick's trade and signing may have flown under the radar across the league, but the former All-Pro remains a versatile player who can tackle well and generate turnovers. The safety room going from Andre Cisco to Fitzpatrick solidifies this acquisition as a major upgrade.
