Which jerseys are the NY Jets wearing today in Week 2 vs. Titans?
By Justin Fried
The NY Jets enter their Week 2 game against the Tennessee Titans looking to exact a bit of revenge following the team's underwhelming showing in Week 1 this past Monday night.
The Jets fell to the San Francisco 49ers by a final score of 32-19 in a game that was never as close as the final score indicated. Aaron Rodgers' return to the gridiron was spoiled by a disappointing defensive effort that derailed the Jets' offensive plans.
The hope and expectation is that things will be different this week. The Titans present a much more welcoming challenge to a Jets team that is expected to be among the top contenders in a loaded AFC this season.
That bodes well for the Jets' chances of securing a win and bouncing back to a 1-1 record. Of course, pre-game odds don't mean much once the game starts. The Titans are very capable of winning this game, especially given how poorly the Jets played in Week 1.
The Jets will be hoping for better luck this week, and to help their case, they will be wearing a different uniform combination than they did a week ago. Here's what the Jets are rolling with in Week 2.
Which jerseys are the NY Jets wearing in Week 2 vs Titans?
The Jets will be wearing their green jerseys with white pants when they take on the Titans later today. This comes one week after the Jets debuted their new "Legacy" uniforms by wearing the opposite: white jerseys and green pants.
The Jets wore their classic throwback legacy uniforms in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills in 2023. This year, those "legacy" uniforms have been made the team's permanent uniform set.
Last week's uniform combination, affectionately referred to as the "Peter Griffin look" by some fans, hasn't yielded many positive results in the past. The Jets are hoping for a different outcome in this week's game against the Titans.
The consensus among most fans is that the green on white is a significantly more aesthetically pleasing look than the white on green, especially with the green socks as part of the latter combination.
Jets fans will be hoping their favorite team plays as good as they look in Week 2. Look good, play good — isn't that the saying?
