In our most recent episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mike Luciano were met with quite the surprise when it was revealed mid-stream that the NY Jets had traded Elijah Moore to the Cleveland Browns.

Justin and Mike reacted live to the trade and discussed the potential impact on the Jets' wide receiver room, draft plans, and how it could affect the team's pursuit of Aaron Rodgers.

Prior to the trade, Justin and Mike also discussed the recent Mecole Hardman signing that broke roughly 20 minutes before recording. Of course, some of that conversation may seem a bit outdated after the Moore trade was revealed at around the 26:00 mark.

The conversation then shifted a little to why the Jets made the Moore trade. Did the Jets receive good value in return for the former second-round pick? Does the Moore trade help the Jets facilitate a Rodgers deal?

As for the Rodgers discussion, Justin and Mike analyzed when a Rodgers trade could happen. Will it happen before the 2023 NFL Draft? Is there a deadline for the Jets or Green Bay Packers?

What about potential trade compensation? The Packers are reportedly looking for at least a first-round pick, but the Jets seem unlikely to budge. Does the additional second-round pick make a Rodgers trade easier for the Jets?

Finally, the weekly draft spotlight returned as Justin and Mike discussed two draft prospects the Jets could target. Justin highlighted Ohio State center — and Jets fan — Luke Wypler, while Mike talked about speedy Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers.
